Thor was met with great critical acclaim and successfully managed to score the 77% approval ratings and 100% approval ratings from the audience. It grossed over $435 million in the box office thus solidifying its status as one of the greatest Superhero Movies of all time.
9. Blade (1998)
Wesley Snipes portrayed this Character of Blade and Stephen Norrington directed the movie. Although being a moderately successful in box office with the gross of $131 million against the budget of $45 million, this movie is regarded as one of the best Superhero movies and it was well received by the critics and the audience.

Tim Burton delivered one of the greatest Superhero films of all time with Michael Keaton as Batman and Kim Bassinger as Vicky Vale. The film was a huge hit both critically and commercially and another very interesting fact about this movie is that Jack Nicholsan portrayed the character of Joker and he showed his classic acting skills. Tobey Maguire was chosen to portray the role of Spider-Man and Kirsten Dunst won the role of Mary Jane Watson with Green Goblin portrayed by Willem Dafoe being the main villain of the film. Superman: The Movie which was released in 1978 is known as the pinnacle of mainstream cinema as this film became one of the greatest movies of all time and also the greatest Superhero movies in the history. Marlon Brando portrayed the character of Superman and Richard Donner served as the director and the Legacy of this film is still alive today. It grossed more $300 million world wide against the budget of $55 million and got 90% of approval ratings from the critics and the audience hailed this movie with five out of five stars.
5. Batman Begins (2005)
After the disastrous release of the 1997 film Batman and Robin, the future projects was then put on the hold and there were many proposals for the sequel and the reboot until Warner Bros. finally came up with an idea to include Christopher Nolan as the director and Christian Bale as the new Batman and this duo including various other cast and crew proved very much successful as Nolan completely revolve the story from the fantasy comic book hero to a reality. This film compared to the previous has the much darker tone and the fear was the common factor and the plot of the movie was very strong. X2 was the sequel to X-Men 2000 and it stars the ensemble cast of Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Brian Cox, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Anna Paquin and Bruce Davison. The film became a word wide hit grossing more than $400 million and it also holds a strong 88% critics approval ratings and 95% audience approval ratings. 1. The Dark Knight (2008):
Undoubtedly the greatest Superhero Movie of all time. Christopher Nolan returned as the director and used his genius mind to develop the best sequel ever in the history. Christian Bale as returned as Bruce Wayne/Batman and he faced greater challenges and his most personal enemy Joker portrayed by Heath Ledger and in the process also dealing with Harvey Dent/Two-Face. The Dark Knight broke many records and currently it is one of the 7 films to gross more than $1 billion word wide. It also holds the 91% of approval ratings from the critics and 100% approval ratings from the audience. It was nominated for 8 Academy Awards and won 2. Heath Ledger who plays the role of the Joker received the Academy Award for best Supporting Actor posthumously as he died just after completing the shooting of the film.
